Covid-19 Lockdown Announcement
Due to an unprecedented decision by The National Coronavirus Command Council to enforce a nation-wide lockdown for 21 days with effect from Thursday 26 March at midnight, ending on April 16th 2020, CIT (Container Intermodal Trading) will be adhering to all national guidelines and decisions implemented.
The safety and health of our community, including our customers and staff, is our primary focus right now.
We wanted to reach out to reassure you that we are following the necessary guidelines and will continue to offer containerized logistics for ONLY essential food and medical supplies.
If you need to secure our services for containerized logistics related to the delivery of essential goods please contact Kashief Schroeder, co-founder and owner of CIT on 021 705 1724.
How will the lockdown affect CIT’s operations?
Below are some of the measures that we have put in place; but the fight against COVID-19 remains a collective responsibility. We advise all staff, suppliers and customers to also follow the personal hygiene guidelines as set out by the WHO and the National Department of Health.
- Our physical offices are closed and our CIT office team is working remotely during the normal office hours 8h00 to 17h00 – send all your orders, inquiries and billing enquiries to info@citcontainer.com.
- During the 21-day lockdown period the CIT Yard facility will be affected and under lockdown, access can be remotely arranged only for above mentioned essential supplies – kindly do note management will consider your requests and reserve the right to decline services during this period.
- Admin, account and client relationship management is still critical for business and to CIT,
and will remain a high-level priority.
