Easy Peasy! Stack Up On Flat-Pack Containers
This major trend currently is flat-pack containers whereby containers arrive nested and can be easily assembled upon arrival. The different parts of the container, most notably the sides, bottom and top, are stacked upon each other as to save space when it is shipped to its destination. Once opened, assembly is pretty simple.
Although just about all containers are manufactured in China, I do see an opportunity here for South Africa, as the irony is that much of the iron used to manufacture these containers actually come from our own mines. Currently we can’t compete with the prices however, but with the backing of government, this could certainly become an industry opportunity for South Africa if it is incentivised to start producing containers locally.
The resale of containers locally is also becoming more and more of a growing market in itself. Contact us for more info at firstname.lastname@example.org.
